Dance

Rosa Acosta began her ballet studies at the tender age of four at the Centro de la Cultura in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She advanced to the Instituto de Cultura y Arte (ICA), where she excelled as one of the most gifted students in the Academy. After graduating with honors from ICA and earning a Bachelors of Arts in Classical Ballet from the Ballet School of Norma Garcia, Rosa joined the Ballet Nacional Dominicano in 2002 as its youngest Soloist. As a dancer and actress, she performed in all major classical and modern shows in the Dominican Republic, including Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Diana & Acteon, Carmen, Paquita, Coppelia, La Bayadere, and Victor Victoria. Rosa was nominated twice by the Secretaria de Estado de la Juventud for her work in the category of paper help Cultural Development.
