Rosa Acosta started her classical ballet studies at the age of four at the Centro de la Cultura in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She later moved on to the Instituto de Cultura y Arte (ICA), where she excelled as one of the most gifted students of the academy.

After graduating with honors from ICA and the Ballet School of Norma Garcia with a Bachelor in Art with mention to Classical Ballet, Rosa became a part of the Ballet Nacional Dominicano as their youngest soloist member in 2002. As a dancer and actress she performed in all major classical and modern shows in the Dominican Republic. Her dance resume includes: Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Diana & Acteon, Carmen, Paquita, Coppelia, Victor Victoria (Musical), and more. She was nominated twice by the Secretaria de Estado de la Juventud for her work in the category of Cultural Development. Rosa initiated her modeling career in 2004, participating TV commercials for prestigious Dominican enterprises.

In 2006 Rosa moved to United States where she continued to work as a model and actress doing music videos for Aventura, Alexis y Fido, Toby Love, Cosculluela, Jowell y Randy , Erre XXL, Pee Wee, Baby Ranks , Fuego, LDA, Omega, Amarfis y la Banda de Ataque, Christian Skala and others. Her career took a new turn after she did a series of videos showcasing her flexibility. Rosa’s stretching videos got millions of views on youtube and other media outlets giving her immediate fame and getting the attention of artist such as Kanye West who invited her to be a lead model for Drake’s Hit “Best I Ever Had”, as well as followed by dozens of other videos with the most famous rap and R&B artists such as Chris Brown, Omarion, Mario, P.Diddy, 50 Cent, Jamie Foxx, Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Florida, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Mike Posner, Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy, Far East Movement, Swizz Beatz, The DEY, Juelz Santana, DJ Scandalous, Matt Houston and the one of the most famous rappers in France, Booba. Rosa graced the pages of magazines such as King, Maxim, FHM, Smooth, BlackMen, Show, Girls of Lowriders, XXL,The Source, Giant, JM, Shock and many more. In 2009 Rosa was photographed by Terry Richardson as the face of the Supreme campaign. XXL Magazine crowned Rosa Acosta as the XXL “Eye Candy of the Year” in 2009, and in 2010 and 2012 she won the Urban Model Awards including “Model of the Year” and “Cover Model of the Year” according to abcpaperwriter.com. Some of Rosa’s acting and TV hosting projects include: Still a Teen, The Hustle, Los Blancos, Wild N Out, Comedy After Dark and El Show.

Rosa Acosta is currently the face of Smoke Liqueur and fitness supplements Moriche Palm Diet, among endorsements from 9Five Eyewear and her own line of activewear Body By Rosa Acosta.
